![]() ![]() *If you want to know what "accidentally" means, it was THE ONE TIME I ran out of torches. Maybe he got a string of failed retreats? I know last time I accidentally ran into a Shambler,* it took a few tries to retreat successfully. If you're playing with standard options, however, retreat is not a guaranteed success. and if you retreat with somebody still in the pot, youve just abandoned. ![]() Why didn't you just retreat.? You can retreat starting up to round 2, since you can't retreat if you get surprised. Make no mistake, Darkest Dungeon is not a case of Hard Levels, Easy Bosses. ![]() Probably the first fight so far to really give the game a true lovecraftian feeling for me at least.īut whatever, I'll just make sure to never interact with a mysterious looking obelisk again. Youre even gambling a chance at the shambler itself and going home failing with plenty loot and a shambler only ancestral trinket to spice it a bit. ++loot at 0 light is significantly better than at 1 light.
